When FB/LB Ricky Hall went down with a leg injury to end his season, Norwalk native and linebacker Idris Price’s number was called to take over New York Dragons’ fullback duties.
And Price responded well, leading the Dragons to a 77-63 wild-card upset over the Dallas Desperados and earning the Arena Football league’s Ironman of the Week honors.
Against Dallas on June 27, Price recorded three tackles and one hurry on defense, and added four rushes for two yards and two touchdowns on offense.
But playing both ways is not a new thing for Price. last season, his fourth year in the AFL and first as a member of the Philadelphia Soul, Price earned All-Ironman honors.
