Welcome to LocalSportsFeed, a Website that will cover local sports in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Don’t expect box scores and standings around the site, or heavy coverage of your traditional sports. LocalSportsFeed will try to bring fans quick hits, features, and opinion pieces about some of the underserved sports in Fairfield County. Sure, we’ll cover high school football - after all, that’s where LocalSportsFeed’s roots are. But expect to see something different, like the ASA Brakettes, high school rugby, lacrosse, and ice hockey in the mix.

LocalSportsFeed was founded by Tim Parry, a veteran sports journalist and avid blogger. He launched the FCIAC Football Blog in the fall of 2005, and has since tried to include other Fairfield County football teams and sports within the site.

Parry expects to take LocalSportsFeed “live” in the spring of 2008. But he can’t do it alone. He’s looking for local sports feeders who want to help spread the word about underserved sports, whether it’s by way of press releases or written submissions.
